More potential MTV nominations

The next round of voting for MTV video award nominations is underway at mtv.com.
Several Canadian acts are eligible in the Best Pop Video category. Avril Lavigne, Nelly Furtado and Simple Plan each have two songs on the list. Billy Talent, Feist, Nickelback and Stars are also in the running.
In the Best Hip Hop Video category, Kardinal Offishall made the list with his clip for “Dangerous.”
As we reported earlier, a handful of Canadian acts, including Offishall, Lavigne and Furtado, were contenders for nominations for Best Male and Best Female video. None were selected.
Voting for Best Pop Video and Best Hip Hop Video continues through Aug. 1. Nominees for Best Dancing in a Video, Best New Artist, Best Rock Video and Video of the Year will be chosen in coming weeks.
